“This project came from just a dream and hope. At the end of the day, there’s going to be a lot of happy people at Elmer Brown Drive,” Cisco said from his Williamson office. “There were times when I thought this would never happen. But there’s always got to be a way. If you set your mind to do something, there’s nothing you can’t accomplish.”

Benjamin Cisco, Operations Officer with West Virginia Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD), provided an update concerning Elmer Brown Bridge at Wednesday’s regular meeting of the Mingo County Commission.
“I stand before you today with great news. The Elmer Brown Bridge will be completed. Voluntary agencies will commence work sometime around the first, second or third week of June depending on coordination of volunteers. We have received all permits back for the Elmer Brown Bridge except the Department of Highways (DOH) which we anticipate to obtain by no later than Monday,” Cisco stated..
