Voluntary organizations dedicate new home for Rainelle flood survivors

A Greenbrier County family is moving into a safe new home thanks to a lot of work by many WV VOAD member agencies

and community groups! This Rainelle house was dedicated and blessed today for a family displaced in the June 2016 flood. A case manager with the Disaster Case Management Program, administered by WV VOAD, has assisted this family through the long recovery process. Built through the fall and winter by volunteers with Appalachia Service Project and World Renew (which also provided funding), their new home also was made possible by generous donations from the Cales Foundation, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, Catholic Charities West Virginia and the Greater Greenbrier Long-Term Recovery Committee. WV VOAD is grateful to all our member agencies and donors who made this project possible and helped the family get back into secure housing!
